Colleen Speer joined Petrus Development as a consultant in 2022.

Colleen is the Director of Development for St Brendan’s Parish in Hilliard, OH, where she recently raised more than $6.5 million during the COVID-19 pandemic for their first capital campaign and building expansion in over 25 years.  Prior to her parish development work, she spent 10 years as the Assistant Development Director at OSU’s St. Thomas More Newman Center- one of the largest Catholic campus ministries in the country-and served as an assistant director of annual giving at The Ohio State University.  A seasoned development professional, Colleen has a passion for strategic planning and loves helping nonprofits and ministries build capacity so that they can make amazing things happen.

Colleen graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts in marketing and communications, with a minor in economics, from THE Ohio State University.  She and her husband Brian make their home in Columbus, OH along with their 4 lively young children. In her very limited free time, Colleen enjoys photography, live music, OSU sports and napping.
