Position Description: 

The Mission Advancement Manager is entrusted with growing CCO's fundraising efforts above operational needs allowing for CCO's growth. This individual will provide strategic support in CCO's two fundraising arms: mission partner development and organizational development. They are responsible to develop a growth funding strategy, establish solicitation priorities, and execute targeted cultivation plans and solicitation strategies. Using their excellent interpersonal and communication skills, they will work in close collaboration with all department teams, pursuing new strategies to move benefactors into new and deeper levels of giving.

  • Display exceptional interpersonal skills to develop relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use evidence-based and data-driven decision-making skills in relationship to key strategies.
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and balance competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively structure daily work activity with minimal supervision focused on the achievement of goals.
  • Demonstrated skill sets in leadership, and team building.
  • Proficient using spreadsheets and word documents. 
  • Have an ability to learn and be a proficient user of a fundraising database. Experience with Raiser’s Edge is strongly preferred.
  • Adaptable, agile, and able to facilitate change.
  • Excellent conceptual and critical thinking, assessment and problem-solving skills. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement an effective growth funding strategy for CCO.
  • Manage and oversee a long term growth funding plan.
  • Run and execute CCO’s major giving program.
  • Provide strategic support in implementing a fully funded culture in missionary support raising.
  • Provide strategic oversight on legacy giving.
  • Collaborate closely with the Development Operations team to prospect and cultivate benefactor relationships.
